The food is delish! Service was perfect but parking is a challenge.....if you're lucky to find street parking on busy Ventura Blvd great; otherwise be prepared to pay $14 for valet. I still plan to eat at the Great Greek despite the parking challenges .....you can't beat an awesome meal.

Great experience at the Great Greek! Greeted when we arrived. Busy but only had to wait a few minutes. Clean place with nice decor. Live Greek music on this Saturday night. Warm bread and olive oil while we looked over the menu. We ordered the dolmas, meatballs, veggie platter and pita bread. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. A couple of birthday parties going on, some people got up and started dancing, friendly and festive. Saved room for baklava, also delicious. Highly recommended!

Went here for my wife's bday in December and food was great. Service was quick and clean.

I've been to the Great Greek a couple of times for lunch and have enjoyed the food each time. I've tried the tarama dip with pita, the gyro sandwich and the chicken souvlaki plate. Both were good size portions, and I like that the meals come with soup or salad. They also serve complimentary bread with olive oil. I found the bread to be fresh and soft inside, not dry like in other reviews I read. Service has been a bit slow but it's not a huge deal as I'm not usually in a rush. Parking was easy on side streets on Sundays for lunch. At other times it may be more challenging.

Simply the best Greek dining experience you can have in Los Angeles. Authentic fresh & house-made food and sauces, consistently prepared. Reasonably priced with large portions. Live dangerously and make sure to order the fried cheese 'Saganaki'. Take a double dose of Statins ahead of time, but so worth it. Arianna bartender/waitress is a gem.

Things sound pretty nutty for dinner with the music and plates and everything...but for lunch, it's a calmer affair. I had the pita (warm and fluffy) with the hummus (generous portion if a bit bland) and the Greek meatball sandwich. A unique idea (it really turned into a fork & knife deal) that is essentially a gyro sandwich. A seasoned boiled potato is a healthier option instead of fries, and I liked that. I did feel bad for the host who helped out the waiter and unfortunately kept dropping things by accident - glasses, plates, etc. Even had some of my plates & silverware dropped on me from him toward the end of the meal. These are accidents (I hope) and it got to be comical towards the end. I'd like to see more of the dinner entrees make their way over to the lunch menu. But if you've ever wanted to dine here and the wait is too much, give it a try for lunch!

This place has the best Greek music in Los Angeles. The service is phenomenal and the food is okay if you are not too picky. I have been here a few times and every time because of good music I had a great experience.

First time at The Great Greek. A late afternoon lunch. Ordered the eggplant salad. Creamy. Flavorful. When I ordered the eggplant the waitress said, "would you like this bread (points to the bread on the table) or pita?" Blindly, I chose pita. Only when the bill came was I informed that the pita cost $6 extra. You need to inform your customers that there is an upcharge for pita. My main was moussaka. Everything on the plate was lukewarm except the entree. All the rice, zucchini and potato were tasty, but someone forgot to heat up the sides. The moussaka wasn't bad but the bechamel on the top was quite rubbery. This was older, reheated moussaka. Again, flavor was good, but seemed to be missing the layers of eggplant, potato, zucchini at the base. My dining companion got the spanikopita. Lots of spinach, not enough filo and needed more feta in the spinach mix. I definitely got a full tasty meal which Is why I gave this place 4 stars. I'd probably go back.

AUG2024 A nice dinner with old friends. Service was friendly and very helpful with any questions, water refills frequent. They had live music playing in another part of the restaurant which was nice. We had gotten the greek caviar tarama to share. I had ordered the greek style vegetarian plate. Everything tasted nice and fresh. I think it just needed a tad more salt though to bring things around for me. The one I liked most was the eggplant though. It wasn't chewy and the flavor was on point. The music they were really getting into it to. I feel like it'd be nice to sit at the bar and take it all in on another occasion.

I came during lunch on the weekend and was seated immediately. Staff is very attentive and friendly. I ordered Avgolemono soup and char broiled chicken breast kebab "souvlaki". The soup was delicious and the chicken was very juicy and flavorful. Can't wait to come back and try more plates.
